Midi integration & extended functionality

Midi Effects
Making Waves STUDIO can also support the Yamaha XG standard for midi effects and all the DSP audio effects found onboard their SW1000XG soundcard. All effect types can be inserted into the sequencer at any point allowing adjustment to the sound of an entire track or right down to a single note. Effect envelopes where an effect might rise and fall over a number of bars can be quickly and easily implemented by using one of the many presets in the effects toolbox these changes can also be drawn in manually. Effects patterns can also be entered directly via the sequencer window. All Making Waves effects either audio or midi can be controlled via an external midi controller and full automation is provided.

Midi Enviroment
Making Waves STUDIO offers a user configurable midi enviroment in which external hardware such as midi synths and drum machines can be hooked up to the Making Waves sequencer. System Exclusive buttons let you receive or transmit "sysex" data to or from your chosen midi device / instrument.
Midi clock is also provided allowing you to send midi clock signal to selected external devices.

The STUDIO version will also allow you to load and playback standard midi / .mid files within the sequencer, these files can then be remixed using different source sounds and effects including audio samples. Support for multiple midi device soundcards is also built in allowing Making Waves STUDIO to fully integrate with new or existing midi compatible hardware.

XG Support
Making Waves STUDIO supports all the extended functions found in Yamaha's XG technology directly within its sequencer so there's no need to run third party editors. All 1200+ XG sounds/voices and 64 complete drum sets are available from within the software along with the numerous XG system effects, these effects can also be easily applied to the recording input

This tool allows instant fade-ins and fade-outs to be applied		Mixer panels are provided for level mixing and stereo panning		Making Waves is equipped with 2/4/8 & 16 bands of EQ that can be applied to anything from a single note sample to an entire song.
